Requirements
Education
- Master of Science (MSc) in Agriculture
- Master of Science (MSc) in Agrotechnology
- Master’s/Postgraduate degree in Agriculture, Agrotechnology, and Agriculture Extension from any reputed University.
Experience
-
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Agro based Startup
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 30 years
- Strong knowledge of ornamental plants, seasonal flowers, and landscaping.
- Experience in nursery management, plant propagation, and pest/disease control.
- Skilled in irrigation planning, soil management, and fertilizer application.
- Ability to lead teams and manage daily field operations efficiently.
- Strong reporting, planning, and organizational skills.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and handle multiple projects.
- Willing to travel to project sites when required.
- Experience in large-scale horticulture or estate management (preferred).
Responsibilities & Context
- Manage nursery operations, including seedling production, plant propagation, pruning, and overall plant care.
- Supervise landscaping, garden maintenance, beautification activities, and seasonal plantation.
- Monitor plant health, diagnose diseases/pest issues, and ensure proper plant protection measures.
- Oversee irrigation planning, fertilizer application, soil management, and greenhouse operations.
- Lead and supervise horticulture workers, gardeners, and field staff; ensure work quality and task completion.
- Manage procurement of seeds, fertilizers, equipment, and maintain inventory records.
- Prepare plantation plans, development budgets, and regular progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards and maintain high-quality horticultural practices.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and management to execute horticulture projects efficiently.
- Implement sustainable and modern horticultural techniques for improved productivity.
